Jonathan has thirty years’ experience in media from TV to digital, and from CRM to content creation in a career that includes agencies media owners and clients.
In agencies, Jonathan drove innovative media solutions for flagship brands at WCRS, including the IPA Grand-Prix-Winning BMW. At Banks Hoggins O’Shea he set up the media function winning business from Waitrose, Sara Lee and Virgin games. And as EMEA Media Director for FCB, Jonathan won business from Janus Capital, Castrol, Avaya Telecoms and Fujitsu.
In media owners Jonathan joined Metro as Development Director creating a brand that commanded the highest rates in Fleet Street and went into profit in year three.
As Marketing Director of the Evening Standard he improved the bottom line by £11m in 15 months. And as publisher of The Independent Online, Jonathan turned the business around from loss to c£1m profit in seven months.
Jonathan has spent the past ten years as a consultant with a wide range of advertisers and agencies. All this has given him deep insights into the culture, practices and motivations of the widest range of agencies and advertisers from specialist start-ups through to multi-nationals.
Jonathan lives in West London where he practices Tai Chi and dotes on his daughter.
